Generally used in commercial applications Infa Red Controls and Timeflow Controls are welcomed by many as they are very efficient and help to prevent water waste at point of use. Whilst both give the end user near the same performance they operate in very different ways.

Infa Red and Timeflow Controls can be used on many different outlets within a property including Taps, Showers, Urinals and Kitchens. With many different designs Infa Red and Timeflow Controls can be found anywhere from Commercial Kitchens to Health Suites and Public Conveniences.

Infa Red Controls and Electrical Controls work with a Sensor or push button which when charged operate a solenoid valve to supply water to the desired outlet. With a PIR (Passive Infa Red) or touch pad Sensor you have the option of running water whilst movement is sensed and the security that once the user is finished the appliance will close. With certain products you can determine the time scale of flow from the control to give a precise run of water. Infa Red Controls can be operated directly from mains power or with a battery controller.

Timeflow Controls work on a spring basis, when depressed the spring is opened and the water can flow through the desired outlet. The spring will be loaded with a set amount of pressure to ensure that the water will flow for a certain amount of time. Like Infa Red Controls Timeflow Controls can be adjusted to allow control over the time length of flow, usually this can be set to between 5 and 20 seconds depending on the application. Timeflow Controls are widely used in health suites for shower control as they are very effective at saving water waste. As Timeflow Controls are operated by spring there is no need for an electrical control device.
